Role Overview
Hyfe has commenced an exciting multi-year partnership with a pharma company to develop and commercialize the world’s first digital therapeutic (DTx). We are seeking a Product Manager to drive the ongoing development of the respiratory health DTx app for the Japanese market. This individual will work cross-functionally with the design team, clinical experts, engineers, and the regulatory team to build an engaging, clinically validated, and user-friendly product, that will be available for prescription in Japan.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the product roadmap: Align project goals and plan with business, clinical outcomes, and user needs.
- Manage the product development cycle: prioritize delivery for clinical trials, regulatory submissions, and commercial launch.
- Deliver features: Produce intuitive, engaging patient- and physician-facing features incorporating feedback from users and clinical experts, and build alignments across product team and the partner company.
- Master communications: Write clear, detailed product requirements, user stories, and planning documents in Japanese and English.
- Ensure regulatory compliance: Collaborate with project, clinical, and regulatory teams to meet Japanese health and medical device regulatory standards.
- Lead cross-functional teams: Collaborate with designers, marketers, developers, medical experts, and partners for cohesive product development.
- Conduct market analysis: Stay updated on digital health trends to inform product strategy.
Must Have
- 4+ years of experience in product management, preferably in digital health, DTx, healthtech, or medtech.
- Native or equivalent fluency in Japanese and fluency in English
- Understanding of Japanese cultural nuances and market preference.
- Strong understanding of user experience and user-centered design and how to apply it to patient and provider experiences.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex clinical and technical concepts into intuitive product experiences.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams, including clinical, regulatory, engineering, and design.
- Familiarity with localization, and content heavy app projects
- Ability to work effectively across diverse teams and time zones.
- Proficiency in tools like Confluence, Figma, and POEditor.
Nice To Have
- Experience with wearables, digital biomarkers, or AI-driven health insights.
- Background in healthcare, behavioral science, or clinical psychology.
- Experience working on products related to chronic disease management, respiratory health, or remote patient monitoring.
- Experience coordinating translation and localization processes.
- Familiarity with regulatory processes for digital therapeutics (SaMD, 510(k), MDR, etc.).
- Familiarity with FHIR, HL7, or other healthcare data standards.
